We use the textbook, Mastering the American Accent, by Lisa Mojsin,
published by Barron.

| This class is English speaking class. To speak well, one should listen well. To listen well, one should be able to speak words correctly. For about 15 minutes of casual speaking, the teacher corrects the student's pronunciation, focusing on the diction. We use the textbook, Mastering the American Accent, by Lisa Mojsin, published by Barron. The student is provided with the textbook for free for the semester (returned to the teacher at the end of the semester). The book is covered for 10 weeks for Chapters 2 to 7 as time permits. The rewards for the students who has the perfect attendance is the gift certificate. The students are provided with simple dinner for free. We meet every Monday starting from Sept. 18, in Seminar room of Math department (Baird Hall 423), from 5pm to 6pm. We run 1 hours a week for the 10 week period (will end on Dec. 4.) The contents are Vowels in Detail, Consonants, Syllable stress, Word stress and Intonation. This will be a great class who are aiming to get hired in a foreign based companies in Korea as well as English presentation preparations for Graduate students!
